all week leading upto Geoff & Emily’s wedding I had been watching the weather network(as I often do, it’s a bit of a problem I have), and everything pointed to thunderstorms and showers for their big day. I was not impressed… rain although good for the earth, makes getting great outdoor wedding photos challenging to say the least. It rained and crashed for about… an hour… while we were doing Geoff’s getting ready shots. Just as we were about to leave, Geoff’s dad asked us to join him in prayer for the day, and he prayed for a glimmer of sun to shine down on their day.
Well guess what happened… it turned out sunny, dry and very warm! Now that is a weatherman I would trust! Ok on to the photos.
Geoff, braving the storm, ready to get the day started!
Then onto Emily’s house. Here is one of her four dresses that she got to wear! They were all gorgeous!! The characters mean “double happiness”

Soon Geoff showed up at Emily’s house, but before he is allowed to enter he had to play some games organized by Emily’s bridesmaids.
Emily trying to listen to what was going on at the door, if you look carefully you can see the top of Geoff’s head in the bottom left corner
One of the games Geoff had to play was to make up a song or poem as to why he should be allowed to marry Emily. Pom poms and all! It was awesome!
He manages to pass all the tests, and was soon granted access to the home where he got to see his bride for the first time. I have to admit, I think the expression on his face is so incredibly awesome, and possibly one of the best “first looks” I have photographed!

Soon after Geoff and Emily started the tea ceremonies for Emily’s family
Isn’t she a beautiful bride?
Then it was time to go and get married!

a funny moment after lighting the unity candle.
wooohoo!

Onto Geoff’s family’s home for more tea ceremony’s. And a new favourite family shot… I love this photo of Geoff and his parents… I must have said something funny…
Soon then we moved onto the reception for the final tea ceremonies and dress number 2
dress number 3
and dress number 4 for their first dance together.

Geoff & Emily, thank you so much for having me to photograph your most beautiful wedding day. I enjoyed it immensely and I am so happy for you both as you begin your new lives together. I hope you had the best vacation/honeymoon ever as you toured Europe!
Bless you both, always.
