For as long as I can remember, Gayle has been in my life.
I remember going to preschool with her in her mom’s way cool red convertible camaro, with us both sitting in the passenger seat, lapbelt across and thinking, this is the coolest thing ever!
I remember walking to school with Gayle, having lunches at home with her while we watched the flintstones, trading stickers at recess and being safty patrol (crossing guards) together. Gayle’s family moved away in grade 8 and although I thought I had lost my best friend… but thankfully that didn’t happen… she had only relocated, a mere hour away. Here we are 30 something years later and so much that I have experienced in my life, both happy & tragic, wonderful and devastating, Gayle has always been the first one on my mind to call, if she wasn’t already there with me sharing in the moment. When I heard that she and her husband were expecting their first baby… I remember crying with such incredible tears of joy. SO happy for them, and all that would come with it. I feel like it was just the other day that she told me she was pregnant, and now here we are on the brink of meeting this new little person. This little blessing that will change their lives forever. I was so excited at the opportunity to capture photos for Gayle & Jeff in these amazing last days before their little girl makes her grand entrance. We travelled to Wasaga Beach, a special place for Gayle(one that I have many many fond memories of as well) to capture her beautiful baby belly. A sampling of images that we created, follow below.

Thank you Gayle & Jeff for the amazing opportunity to document this exciting time in your lives. I can not even begin to tell you how excited I am to meet this little girl, and I’m not going to lie, she will be spoiled rotten by Auntie P.

Auntie Pat,
Thank you so much!
Very touching.
You’re so blessed to have such a friend in your life! These images are just gorgeous – especially the ones in the water!
Such a sweet story. I haven’t had the luck to meet old friends again, but how lovely that you have, and that you support each other. She will just love her mat images!
so sweet! Love the pictures to go with the story!
She has the most beautiful round curves. What a beautiful story too.
